Tonight on PBS throughout Florida and some regions, Changing Seas will air an episode entitled Billfish: Battle on the Line? at 8PM(est), featuring the Billfish Research work of the University of Miami Rosentiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science in conjunction with CABA and filmed at Casa Vieja Lodge, with our beautiful pacific billfish making their debut! Fishing Highlights
June has brought a lot more blue marlin into the spread. In addition our anglers have had more opportunities with mahi mahi and tuna making for some pretty fresh meals aboard the fleet while fishing! Family trips have been in full force here with the calm and plentiful seas. Here are some fantastic highlights:
From June 4-6th, the El Cadejo had 61 raises, 50 bites, and 35 releases!
From June 4-8th, Captain Chris of the Rum Line had 114 raises, 100 bites, and 33 releases, and on a single day 5 blue marlin raises with 2 releases!
From June 9-10th, the Finest Kind had 22 raises, 20 bites, and 13 releases, and 3 blue marlin raises, 1 bite, and 1 release!
From June 13-15th, Captain Chico, of the A-Fin-ity, had 66 raises, 54 bites, and 33 releases, plus mahi mahi, tuna, and released 1 blue marlin!
