Marlin University Reels in a Record Breaking Session
Casa Vieja Lodge hosted Marlin University for the 7th consecutive year, April 30- May 5th, 2015. Lucky number 7 proved to be the BEST fishing year yet for Marlin University! Congratulations to the graduates of Marlin University and their insane fishing numbers!With 4 days of fishing on 4 boats, Marlin University totaled 735 raises, 639 bites, and 342 releases! This gave ample opportunity for anglers to learn new techniques and master old ones. In addition to our top notch Casa Vieja Lodge Captains, aboard each vessel were legendary Marlin University Staff Captains Dave Ferrell, Peter Wright, Bo Jenyns, and Charles Perry.
After fishing, the Marlin University Staff Captains held nightly classroom sessions in a relaxed and comfortable group setting and discussed multiple topics to help improve their angling abilities. We cannot wait for the alumni to come back and hone their skills, and for next semester’s anglers to get their chance at some world-class angling at Casa Vieja Lodge!
