You might sometimes think to yourself, I wonder what my friends at Casa Vieja Lodge are doing for New Year’s Eve celebrations?
Well the answer is: a lot.
By the time New Year’s Eve arrives, a lot of us are running on empty. Same parties. Same countdown. Same promise that this next year will be different.
Here at Casa Vieja Lodge, we celebrate a New Year’s Eve that really is unlike any other.
Days spent offshore chasing sailfish, feeling the warm pacific breeze on your skin. Evenings you’re in for a live band, some dancing, a full bar, fireworks overhead—and when the night winds down, it’s just a short walk back to your bed. No traffic. No chaos. No problem.
…And if you’re really lucky, you might even catch Capt. Terry leading the conga line!
So if you’re looking to finish the year strong and kick off the next one with lines tight and spirits high, Casa Vieja Lodge is the place for your next New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Cheers to a New Year that actually feels new.

LK Takeover!

If there’s one thing we love, it’s when good people show up ready for great fishing.
We had the pleasure of hosting an awesome group of anglers with Local Knowledge the beginning of the month for a few days of exactly that.
Captain Rush Maltz of Local Knowledge, along with 27 anglers, joined us for a high-energy fishing weekend that delivered exactly what everyone was hoping for.
From the moment lines hit the water, it was on. Long days offshore, plenty of action, and that familiar mix of focus and excitement that only comes when sailfish are in play. When dorado and tuna showed up, fresh fish made its way straight into to the kitchen for a fresh lunch out on the water—basically, about as good as it gets.
The bite kept everyone motivated, the rods stayed bent, and the spirits soared higher with every release.
Strong fishing, solid release numbers, and a group that knew how to fish hard and enjoy the whole experience—we were thrilled to host them and look forward to having the Local Knowledge crew back again soon.
Big thanks to Local Knowledge and their guests for spending the weekend with us. You fished hard, laughed harder, and reminded us exactly why we love doing what we do.
We’ll be waiting until when you’re ready to come back!

Christmas for Our Crew
Our favorite time of year is here: the time we give back to of our captains, mates, housekeepers and all of our Casa Vieja familia!
At Casa Vieja Lodge, the holidays are about gratitude, and there’s no one we’re more grateful for than our crew. From captains and mates who put in long days on the water, to bartenders, housekeepers, and the entire behind-the-scenes team who make every guest feel at home, each person plays a vital role in what makes this place special.
Giving holiday gifts is our small way of saying thank you for their hard work, dedication, and the pride they take in caring for our guests and each other. We’re not just a lodge—we’re a family—and celebrating our team during the holidays is something we truly love to do.
Happy Holidays from all of us at Casa Vieja Lodge, to all of you!
