Holy fishing numbers, anglers!
If you’ve been watching our Daily Totals board lately, you already know—the bite is ON. The fish are here, and they’re fired up.
Similar to this time last year, our fleet has been posting the kind of numbers this February that remind everyone exactly why Guatemala has earned its reputation as the sailfishing capital of the world. We’ve seen multiple days pushing well past the 200 sailfish release mark, including an incredible 323-release day on February 17th and another insane haul with 263 releases on February 25th.
What’s been even more impressive than the headline numbers is the consistency! Boat after boat on our fleet has been stacking 20, 30, even 40-plus sailfish releases in a single day!! Blue marlin have been making even more regular appearances, and on February 13th team Finest Kind celebrated a Grand Slam—with a sail, a blue and a striped!
When the fleet is producing numbers like these—high release counts, steady marlin activity, and consistent day after day action—it’s a true portrait of Guatemala Pacific sailfishing.
If you’ve been thinking about getting on the calendar, this is exactly what you’re signing up for. We want to see your contribution up on the Daily Totals board!

Is Casa Vieja Lodge coming to a city near you??
Trade show season is one of our favorites! Each year, you’ll find us at some of the biggest outdoor and sportfishing conventions all around the country. It’s when we get to connect with our extended Casa Vieja family face-to-face, meet future guests, and talk all things Guatemala sailfishing!
So far, we’ve kicked off 2026 at Dallas Safari Club Atlanta and Safari Club International Nashville, two incredible shows where we had the chance to spend some time with friendly faces, new and old!
Next up, we’re headed to the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25–29. If you’ll be there, come find us—we’ll be at Booth #515! Whether you’re ready to talk about getting on the books, curious about what makes us the Sailfishing Capital of the World, or just want to chat billfish and Experience 5-Star Angling in Guatemala, we’d love to see you.
And of course, no show is complete without getting to see everyone’s favorite duo—Aunt Karen and Uncle CK—the heart of our trade shows and always ready to help you start planning your next adventure with us.
And if you missed us this year—don’t worry. These shows are annual stops for Casa Vieja Lodge, and we’ll be back again in 2027. Mark your calendars, swing by our booth, and let’s start planning your next offshore adventure!
Let us help you turn someday into a date on the calendar!
