With the great October fishing behind us, the Rum Line pulled into November with a bang! The 13th annual Torneo Internacional de Pesca was held Nov. 10th to the 13th, a 20lb. test and strictly ballyhoo tournament that anglers got to test their skills against some fantastic Marlin action. The Rum Line started strong on day one releasing two sails and two 200lb. Blue Marlin in the first 90 min. of the day, and ended with another seven sails and missing a third Blue that bit five times! Day two was another fantastic day of fishing, with Striped and Blue Marlin seemingly being caught on every other boat but mine! We ended the day, 3 for 8 out of the 12 sails we had behind the boat and I spent the whole ride home scratching my head from the lack of Marlin action. Day three made up for everything, we went 4 for 8 of the 14 sails raised, and we caught 2 of the 3 150lb.Striped Marlin that bit up the back of the boat, keeping the Rum Line in 1st place, and making the ride home much more pleasant.
A special thanks to everyone who fished with me during the tournament…I couldn’t have done it without you guys!
