Ladies Marlin U
We had the honor of hosting the 2nd annual Ladies-Only Marlin University. Last year it was held in Los Suenos in Costa Rica, and they moved to the place where you truly get more billfish bites, Guatemala! From April 10-15th, 9 anglers aboard 3 boats, with different experience levels were able to learn from a handful of the best women captains/anglers in a relaxed setting. Here, some ladies released their first sailfish, first feed, first wire, first Mahi, and perfected their skills, learned new tricks, and all while building their confidence. We absolutely LOVED having you all with us, and can’t wait to see you soon!
Looking at our calendar, towards the end of 2021- and into 2022, if you plan on booking more than one boat, then you need to secure your dates with us, please. We have gratefully returned to booking dates a year in advance and the calendar is getting slim and we would love to accommodate everyone with their favorite dates but the choice is yours!
Business trips are what we do and we’ll help you impress without having to lift a finger! Depart on a fishing trip with your business partners, top sellers, and accountants to let them all experience this fishery, great food & drinks, excellent service, and massages for a full reset. The best part of fishing is that you have no phone service all day so you can truly escape from the world, relax, take in the beauty, and FISH!
Let the Good Times Roll
For the first time in nearly 20 years, Dr. Guy Harvey returned to Guatemala to experience our amazing fishery. Accompanied with his dear friends and his daughter Jessica they experienced 20+ bite days, blue marlin, and jumped into a bait ball to film the action. Fishing, rest, and an all-around great time with family and friends is just what Dr. Guy Harvey ordered!
In other exciting news, we have partnered with the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust. We have many anglers that cherish these fisheries as we do. It’s important for us to continue to support amazing organizations like BTT that are protecting and restoring fisheries. “No matter what body of water we go to, we want there to be fish for our daughters to catch and release as I once did,” said Capt David Salazar.
Also, the 2022 No Sancocho Sailfish Shootout November 3-5, is now a qualifying event for the 2023 Costa Offshore World Championship. Teams better bring their best game! The OWC is the most prestigious offshore fishing tournament series and has been called the Olympics of the sport. No other tournament series or championship event receives as much international coverage or brings the sport’s global participants together as the OWC.
Fishing Report
The blues are starting their trek into our waters and it has been fun! Over the past few weeks, and days, we’ve had multiple blue marlin releases, between the sailfish and mahi-mahi. Some groups have been out looking for tuna, but ran into a blue instead!
