Summertime Fishing
As summer is secretly coming to an end, we want to thank everyone who spent time fishing with us and reeled in some big Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi, and Tuna numbers! Summer fishing in Guatemala is actually our favorite time of year because the sailfish double digits are here PLUS consistently more blue marlin bites. We had a handful of clients release their first blue marlin, the eldest at 85 years young!
Many have always believed that the winter months are the high/best season in Guatemala, which is true for Costa Rica, but not us! Guatemala has a unique current eddy that seems to keep all of the bait circling offshore which keeps the sailfish fed and happy, there’s absolutely reason to leave! If you fish during the summer, I guarantee you will book the same dates for the following summer! Spend summer vacation fishing with us and touring Antigua, hiking volcanoes, waterfall rappelling, or team up for some humanitarian work. Guatemala has it all!
Oddly enough our snowbird months are just about full but we do have some quick getaways for those looking to fish 2 days & 3 nights. We currently have February 12th-15th, March 4th-7th & March 30th-April 2nd available for quick trips! Email us HERE if you are interested.

Costa Rica Fishing
This is the fifth summer that Casa Vieja has been hosting overnight FAD Fishing trips out of Quepos, Costa Rica, and the second summer aboard The Hooker. Captain Keller and crew have been treating guests to the Casa Vieja Costa Rica experience. With morning blue marlin releases shortly after breakfast and many chances to catch a few on the fly, there is no better spot for multiple shots at blue marlin.
If you’re looking to get BIG numbers of blue marlin and can handle overnighting out at sea, then this trip is for you! Clients this summer so far have released 3-28 blue marlin during their FAD trips which range from 2-3 days of fishing. Secure your summer 2023 dates!
