Great Times on & off the Water

The Michaels Organization held their annual corporate retreat at Casa Vieja Lodge this past week. They ended up breaking records on this trip both on and off the water! On the water they broke their previous record by raising 2,718 billfish and released 1,612! What they did off the water speaks volumes…

The group raised over $55,000 to completely renovate and modernize the Santa Cecilia School of Buena Vista! The children will soon have a school they can be proud of with necessities that most of us take for granted. Thank you again to Mike Levitt and the whole Michaels Organization, the world needs more people like yourselves. We will see you next year!

Catch us Today at Miami Boat Show

• Catch us starting today at the 2016 Miami International Boat Show at Booth D316! We will have exclusive offers and goodies for everyone who comes by the booth! Today through Saturday, the fly fishing guru, Captain Jake Jordan, will be with us sharing his adventures at our booth. Join us for an autograph session byCaptain Rick Murphy and Miss Florida Brie Gabrielle on Saturday at 4:15pm!
• This evening February 11^th The Billfish Foundation will be hosting their annual Tag and Release Ceremony at Jungle Island. At the Ceremony they will be honoring our very own Captain Chris Sheeder for his outstanding numbers awarding him the 2015 Top Tagging Captain- Pacific Ocean. We also want to congratulate all of our outstanding clients and anglers receiving awards at the ceremony too!
• For those that aren’t able to visit the crew in sunny Florida you can still catch our staff in Harrisburg having snow ball fights in the mornings before the 2016 Great American Outdoor Show that is currently being held through Sunday, February 15 at Booth 3006.

February is showing off on the water and we are not complaining! The first half of February has been awesome. The sailfish are here to stay this season! Marlin have been making regular appearances as well as the delicious Mahi-Mahi! Don’t miss out on your chance to fish this extraordinary fishing season! • From February 1-4^th, the AFinIty (39’ Billy Knowles) with Capt, Chico Alvarenga, had 207 raises, 188 bites, and 116 releases!
• From February 1-4^th, the El Cadejo (35’ Contender) with Capt. Caluco Alvarenga, had 245 raises, 194 bites, and 143 sailfish releases. Plus 1 blue marlin raised and a handful of Mahi-mahi & tuna!
• From February 1-4^th, the Intensity (37’ Gamefisherman) with Capt. Mike Sheeder, had 159 raises, 141 bites, and 87 sailfish releases. They also had 2 blue marlin raises, bites, and releases!
• From February 1-5^th, the Finest Kind (40’ Whiticar) with Capt. David Salazar, had 143 raises, 123 bites, and 66 sailfish releases!
• From February 1-8^th, the Makaira (37’ Rybovich) with Capt. Jason Brice had 261 raises, 251 bites, and 174 releases!
• From February 1-8^th, the Rum Line (40’ Gamefisherman), with Capt. Chris Sheeder had 297 raises, 285 bites, and 192 releases!
• From February 1-8^th, the Spindrift (38’ Stopler Express) with Capt. Nicho Alvarenga had 325 raises, 290 bites, and 175 releases!
